I tend to make this dish a day or two after we’ve had chicken nuggets. I promise to give you the recipe for those, but until then, you can substitute any frozen brand or your own recipe.

Serve it with steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and a chunk of garlic bread.

Recipe type: main dish, pasta, chicken
Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 30 mins
Total time: 40 mins
Serves: 6
- 3 cups cooked spiral pasta
- 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 20-24 chicken nugget pieces
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Spray an 8-inch square glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Spread the pasta in the bottom if the dish and pour the sauce evenly on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer on top of the pasta. Top with mozzarella.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes. If using frozen chicken pieces, add an additional 5 minutes it so. Remove the foil and bake 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Cool for 5 minutes before digging in.
